GDPR Information

This page supplements our Privacy Policy with information for individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland regarding the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws.

1. Data controller

MyTeam FC is the data controller for personal data processed through accounts you create directly with us.

When a club uploads member or guardian information, the club may act as an independent controller for that roster data. In those cases, MyTeam FC typically processes the data as a processor on the club's instructions.

Data protection enquiries: support@myteamfc.com.

2. Categories of personal data

We may process:

  • Identity and contact data (name, email, phone).
  • Account and authentication data.
  • Club operational data (attendance, sessions, assessments, payments linked to members).
  • Technical and usage data (logs, device identifiers, IP address).
  • Billing records for subscriptions.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data on the following bases:

  • Contract — to provide the platform, authenticate users, and manage subscriptions.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure our services, prevent abuse, and improve product reliability.
  • Legal obligation — where we must comply with tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
  • Consent — where required for optional communications or non-essential cookies.

4. Recipients and subprocessors

We use infrastructure and service providers for hosting, database storage, authentication, email, analytics, and payments. A current list of key subprocessors is available on request at the contact address below.

We require subprocessors to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures and to process data only according to our instructions.

5. International transfers

If personal data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or adequacy decisions where applicable.

6. Retention

We retain data for the life of the account and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet legal, security, and backup requirements. Clubs should export or delete member records they no longer need using available platform tools.

7. Your GDPR rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data.
  • Rectify inaccurate data.
  • Erase data in certain circumstances.
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Data portability for data you provided in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects solely based on profiling.

9. Data Protection requests

Submit GDPR requests to support@myteamfc.com. We may need to verify your identity and, where a club controls the underlying roster data, we may direct part of your request to your club administrator.

We aim to respond within one month, subject to permitted extensions for complex requests.

10. Updates

We may update this GDPR notice when our processing activities or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
